Review of Raising Cain (1992) by Kevin R — 06 Feb 2016
The cat is in the bag and the bag is in the river.
Jenny and Carter are married and have a little girl. Carter has a unique father who is a child psychologist that is often misunderstood. Carter has some personality issues, which may be involved in some strange and illegal behaviors in the family children's study business.
"You won't hurt her? She will hurt you. Then what?".
Brian De Palma, director of Scarface, The Untouchables, Carlito's Way, Mission: Impossible, Carrie, Snake Eyes, Mission to Mars, and Wise Guys, delivers Raising Cane. The storyline for this picture is very entertaining and well paced. The action and character development fit together well. The acting is also marvelous and the cast includes John Lithgow, Steven Bauer, Lolita Davidovich, and Gregg Henry.
"What I am observing is very odd.".
I came across this on HBOGO and decided to give this a viewing for the first time in a long time. This was better than I had remembered and I found Lithgow compelling and delivering an excellent performance. This is better than you may anticipate and a worthwhile thriller.
"It's not the mileage. It's the make.".
Grade: B.
