For one of their first movies, Raising Arizona is spot on Coen Brothers.
Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter team up to deliver a truly unique and hilarious rendition of the classic 'odd couple' in love. This has gotta be a Top 3 All-time Cage performance for me, and his character H.I. is exactly the kinda role I wanna see him play. I was also pleasantly surprised by Holly Hunter playing the quirky and desperate Mother to-be. Throw in a dash of of John Goodman and Frances McDormand and this is a true Coen Classic.
Great acting, hilarious dialogue, formidable mustaches and an amazing John Goodman jail break scene... I almost wanna call it The Big Lebowski of the 80's/.
