I first watched 'Raising Arizona' as a young lad and didn't get it. I have finally rewatched it and guess what?, I still don't get it. It has some brilliant set pieces but as a comedy I don't find it funny (which is the first rule of comedy).
I either have the same mind set I did as a young lad or the Coens and I just don't agree on whats comedy. I didn't get 'The Big Lebowski' or 'Intolerabe Cruelty' either.
