Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Joey S — 02 Jul 2012
A comedy in which the word 'strange' is a major understatement, Raising Arizona is a very funny and different movie. Most people don't realize that Nic Cage was at one point a very visibly talented actor, and this movie clearly shows his acting ability.
Any movie that can make the audience sympathize for a couple that steals a baby from someone's home is a pretty great movie, and the Coen brothers manage to pull it off. This is another great movie from the Coen brothers, and one worth watching, although not everyone may like it based on how unusual it is.
