Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Anthony K — 04 Mar 2014
A Coen film through and through, in which they indulge their youthful creativity and influences (some parts are basically just Looney Toons). Apart from No Country, though, I'd consider this my favorite amongst their formidable stable; the opening montage, the intro of the hellion biker, john goodman's charming larsonist.
..this film has the goods. And kudos to Joel and Ethan for keeping such a tight leash on Nic Cage's performance!
