Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Joe O — 26 Oct 2009
Another satisfying Coen Brother's movie. Raising Arizona is so daft and unrealistic, that at times it feels like a cartoon.
If you're looking for something sophisticated, this isn't for you. Raising Arizona, although clever, has a ton of childish jokes, that mightn't appeal to some.
The plot is insane, and sets up for lots of fun along the way, and that's what it provides.
It's a hillarious and sometimes intense piece of genius film, that I would enjoy watching again.
