Review of Raising Arizona (1987) by Shawn E — 03 Feb 2010
A complete about face from their previous film, 'Blood Simple', The Coen Brothers' 2nd movie showcased their brilliant sense of humor. Nicolas Cage is excellent, Holly Hunter is a babe....and, well, as far as I'm concerned, any movie that features John Goodman yelling in defiance/annoyance/rage/any emotion at all is brilliant.
This is one of the funniest films of all time and served as proof to the Coens' refusal to be pigeonholed in any specific genre.
