"Raise Your Voice" is where a more dramatic side of Hilary Duff comes out. While her performance is nowhere near perfect, it's nice to see she exploring and expanding. The film does follow every cliche in the book regarding movies about music, but overall it's a good time.
John Corbett is rather entertaining in his role as Mr. Torvald, and he's probably the best actor in the bunch. If you're looking for an uplifting film that is lighthearted, check it out. Recommended.
