Review of Rain of the Children (2008) by Robert C — 23 Nov 2010
Starts out as a useful biographical account of the life of a maori woman and the origins of the "curse" surrounding her. degenerates into a mawkishly sentimental film which clearly serves not as a tribute to a[n ironically] woman but a self indulgent film which is obviously supposed to show vincent ward can make at least 2 good films.
it doesn't and there's no need to see it 2x, once was enough. a golden rule is broken: when the story stops the movie stops.
