Review of Rain Man (1988) by Nick A — 23 Feb 2011
Dustin Hoffman as the "Lovable Social Retardate". Really, it sounds like there would be a point in life where the name Dustin isn't quite age-appropriate anymore. I wonder how long it'll be before he's credited as Murray Hoffman.
Jokes aside, the film could have been edited more tightly. Nevertheless, the film is still original, entertaining and immersive with phenomenal acting, strong characters, a good soundtrack and some really solid uplift.
In the end, "Rain Man" is a classic heartwarmer and a real high note on the filmographies of the Nose Duo... I mean Tom Cruise and Murray Hoffman.
