Review of Rain Man (1988) by Grant G — 11 Mar 2015
Winner of 4 Oscars including Best Picture, "Rain Man" was a very interesting film for it's dramatic story & acting, plus the sympathetic feel of pity for autistic-savant Raymond (played by Dustin Hoffman who won the Best Actor Oscar).
Even though I detested Charlie (played by Tom Cruise) for initially being selfish & apathetic, he gradually improved over time & came to love his brother. I felt that there should've been a little more, but the movie was good overall with great direction by Barry Levinson (won the Best Director Oscar).
I also enjoyed the music by Hans Zimmer (nominated for Best Original Score; didn't win). "Rain Man" truly is a classic 1980s film that many would enjoy time & time again.
