Review of Railroad Tigers (2016) by Choen L — 31 May 2017
It's an action comedy that relies a lot on physical slapstick humour. The dialogue's not very important in this movie, and it could have actually worked if the whole thing was made without any of the characters talking at all.
Overall, the movie would work better for audience with an understanding of the historical context in which this movie is set in.
It's analogous to the British who kept making ridiculous jokes about WW2 Germans being inept and silly, except the chinese are still doing it some 70 years after the secession of that war- or maybe not, because Tarantino did make the comedic but ultra violent fantasy 'The Inglorious Basterds' not too long ago and he isn't even British.
