Review of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) by Tyler S — 08 Mar 2014
I don't quite know how to put this but...THIS MOVIE KICKS ASS!!!! I can find absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's just in lack of a better term a flawless masterpiece. Raiders of the Lost Ark is just one those movies that come out now and then and gets everything right: acting, casting, dialogue, action sequences, story, visual effects, directing, music score, everything.
It's number one on my list of 40 favorite movies of all time and it's one of the greatest fantasy adventure films ever made. It's not just a great movie, It's a great film period. I'm being pretty serious about that because I actually consider this to be a film that is actually worthy of being high up with Godfather, Gone With The Wind, or hell even The Dark Knight Trilogy.
By the way, I love the Indiana Jones film series and this film is obviously the most powerful and perfect in that series, but hey I still think the other films are pretty good too, especially Last Crusade.
I definitely recommend this film to anyone who finds it to be worth checking out.
