When you have a character that is more iconic than Han Solo you know you have a winner. Indiana Jones is the perfect character. He is Smart, kicks-ass, and let's face it he's a ladykiller. I think it's cool that he has Kryptonite in snakes and always seems to overcome his fear for the thing he loves most, Archaeology.
Raiders of the Lost Ark has probably the best opening scene in the history of film and is to me the greatest work of Spielberg.
