Indiana Jones' much-loved first outing remains a glorious, thrilling spectacle of action and adventure which, quite simply, is unrivalled for its ingenuity, excitement and charm and squarely puts today's would-be blockbusters to shame.
Unbelievably, its 34 years old now (wow!) but certainly doesn't look, feel or sound it, a testament to the efforts (and success) of Steven Spielberg and colleagues in crafting a film, which still stands up so well.
