I saw this movie when I was 10 and it made me want to be an archaeologist. . A great call back to old serial films of the 30s. Harrison Ford fits into the Humphrey Bogart-esque role, and Karen Allen is probably the most endearing of his love interests.
John Rhys Davies, joins in the fun as Indy's sidekick Sallah, while Denholm Elliot's Marcus Brody is on hand for sage advice. Add in some high-stakes action, and some of the most nefarious villains of all time, and give it one of the most rousing scores in film history you have one for the ages.
Lucas and Speilberg are the perfect team.
