Raiders of the Lost Ark is certainly one of the greatest, if not the greatest, adventure movies. Set in the 1930s, it centers on the quest of a daring archaeologist, Indiana Jones, to obtain the titular Ark of the Covenant.
There are plenty of entertaining action sequences and humorous moments. The story is compelling, and the settings fit the time period. Raiders is definitely an iconic movie.
