Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Jamesm — 19 Nov 2005
One of the greatest films of all time? Certainly not. But what it attempts to do it does well: it has magnificent cinematography, brutal boxing scenes, relationship disputes, and of course you feel out of breath and exhausted when it is all over.
But it fails in a nuber of areas, such as the pacing and, like all Scorcese movies, it doesn't quite know what it wants to focus on.
