Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Scott S — 19 May 2012
If you've not seen this movie I'd highly suggest that you do so. Masterfully shot and directed, the sometimes hard to watch cinematography truly brings Jake Lamotta's self-destruction to life.
Witness the boxer's rise and fall as his personal and social relationships turn to turmoil. Hate him, then love him, then hate him again, De Niro's portrayal of Lamotta is nothing short of masterful.
Perhaps Scorsese's opus.
