Review of Raging Bull (1980) by David M — 30 Jun 2012
The movie that made Martin Scorcese and is still considered his best by some. Hardly a sports movie about a boxer and man that always makes his life harder for himself, and has loses everything he fights to get once he has it.
For me it is a little redundant with it's characters, nobody really develops, and the end, despite DeNiros record 60 pound gain, feels tacked on, forced, and unnecessary. I understand this was ripped from the mans heart, but for me it falls short of greatness.
