Incredible filmmmaking with numerous classic scenes and an absolutely brilliant performance by De Niro at his most unlikeable! The film has a meat-headed attitude but with Scorsese's sure-handed direction, the fight scenes are some of the most memorable in film history.
Thank god De Niro convinced Marty to make this and it saved his career!
