Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Travis F — 20 Jul 2013
Robert De Niro is wonderful and terrible, as he should be. The story of Jake La Motta is tragic and hard to watch but Scorsese and De Niro are excellent together. Although I prefer their collaboration in Taxi Driver better, this gritty New York film is iconic and emotional, although in a deviant way.
