Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Colm G — 28 Apr 2011
Raging Bull is brilliant, but I have to say it isn't my favourite Scorsese film.
Robert De Niro was fantastic as Jake LaMotta, and I have to say I absolutely hated LaMotta. De Niro was so believable and perfect, this was defiantly one of his best performances.
I love the whole style of the film especially the black and white, it gave it a more 'brutal' and 'dark' feel.
Raging Bull is more proof that Scorsese is a magnificant director.
This film might not be for everyone, but I throughly enjoyed it.
