Review of Raging Bull (1980) by Bernie M — 16 Dec 2014
An instant favourite that is well directed and powerfully acted. Besides maybe Taxi Driver, this may be my favourite Scorsese film. De Niro is perfect as LaMotta, and Pesci is almost as good as his brother Joey.
A very sad movie about a broken man, it will stay in your mind. Take something away from this, LaMotta himself clearly intended for you too.
