Review of Radio Days (1987) by Deadly K — 15 Jan 2012
My love for this film knows no boundaries. I think I could safely watch it all over again right after the credits have rolled. This film wrestles with Manhattan in my soul for being Woody Allen's best film ever.
You can almost smell the frying fish and taste the Martinis as the film paddles through the world of NYC's radio stars while rooting you firmly in the family life of the suburbs. It's achingly funny, heart-meltingly nostalgic and beautifully told through the eyes of nerdy Jewish boy growing up in a house full of family. I could watch it over and over.
