Review of Racing Dreams (2010) by Luke M — 28 Apr 2011
This is the most beautifully executed documentary I have seen and you don't have to be a racing fan to fall in love with this film.
Marshall Curry draws you into the lives of three adolescents who compete in the World Carting Association National Championship. The stakes are high as they battle for a place on the podium, essential sponsorship support, and a chance to realize their dream of becoming a professional NASCAR driver.
What's most touching about this documentary is the parenting behind these three extremely driven children. The sacrifice, support, passion, commitment, and expense is enormous.
There's great drama, some exciting race action, and enough pathos to fill a NASCAR stadium.
