Review of Rachel Getting Married (2008) by Arundhati S — 06 Dec 2009
Shot, edited and performed in a way that immerses you in the events themselves, not a filming of the events. While the movie takes some seemingly random detours that threaten to drag the whole production down, I couldn't help but absolutely love the experience of watching these people, damaged and conflicted they may be, live out a few days of their lives.
I love "slice of life" films and this one, while not quite up there with what Altman has accomplished in his years, is still a great experience to be a part of.
