Having not read much about this other than, that it was worth seeing, I was hugely surprised by how gritty this movie was. Hathaway shines in what ultimately feels like a 'Dogma' movie. Kudos to Demme for his approach to making this; although I did find some of the party scenes a little excessive.
Otherwise, this film merits attention and though the title might suggest Hollywood fluff, don't be fooled - it is a attention holding, well written and smartly directed film that deals with an extremely difficult family divide.
