Good for Anne Hathaway for playing a ne'er-do-well drug addict. She needed this role to break away from her squeaky clean image as a Disney Princess. (She also achieved this beautifully in Brokeback Mountain.
) The film is a nice story about forgiveness and family and sibling rivalry and dealing with addiction, etc., but it's really all about AH's performance. A well-deserved Oscar nomination. Brava!
