Review of Rachel Getting Married (2008) by Jacob N — 03 Aug 2010
Truly a dark and powerful movie. What an interesting concept to bask in the celebration of love and life in the pit of a dismal disconnect from a hopeless character. Kym embodies what Precious FAILED at attempting, which is a character that is all suffering without succumbing to a plea of sympathy.
This is by far Hathaway's most compelling role. She hit a note I didn't know she had in her, and I would love to see more of that from her.
