Review of Rachel Getting Married (2008) by Ashley B — 09 Apr 2010

Overall, it's a very slow paced boring movie. I liked the premise, and the plot, and the more dramatic scenes. I didn't really care for the stuff like the speeches, or any of that wedding rehearsal mumbo-jumbo. That wasn't interesting at all. And especially with that camera-work. I'm sorry but shaky cam is so annoying.

However, Anne Hathaway gave a performance of a lifetime, and she definitely deserved every nomination she got. There were times, when I found myself tearing up during her scenes. Especially the during the "Ethan" scenes.

So it was good. Not great. Worth a see anyway I think.
