Review of Race to Witch Mountain (2009) by Jason R — 26 Mar 2010
Interestingly, a tweak here and a tweak there and this is a PG-13 movie. The kids do a good job, however the necessity to have them speak like they just walked out of the Matrix is questionable. I like Dwayne Johnson leading the way in this, and he is both believable and amusing.
The Star Wars stuff seems a bit out of place among the UFO convention; perhaps they didn't get the permission to use Star Trek stuff, but a couple sets of Vulcan ears would have been more than appropriate.
Overall, decent action for the adults, and good fun for the kids. Good family movie, which looks to be exactly what they were going for.
