Review of Race to Witch Mountain (2009) by Long L — 14 Aug 2010
This movie was not the disappointment I expected it to be. Dwayne Johnson does better in action-packed roles, but there was sufficient action (for a Disney movie) to keep his typecast. The "Area 51" type agency was a bit played out, but to be honest, I don't really expect originality when aliens and the government get mixed.
The children were marvelous as aliens. I actually enjoyed the way they spoke and the fact they kept it constant. The outburst of emotion at the end was a little odd, but I suppose it makes them more "human" for the audience.
Not a memorable movie but probably a fun one to share with your kids.
