Review of Rabies (2010) by Bob B — 02 Jul 2012
Rabies is fresh insraeli horror take in the genre that was something definitely different then most horror films out there that relies on cliche, pointless excessive nudity, cheap thrills, and crappy gore. Rabies was shocking, thrilling, gore was put in the right spot, and this film was so unpredictable, that is crazy.
Story was simple a young girl is kidnapped, and her brother is out to rescue and seek help by other people to help her sister, but there is something more horrific then just a simple slasher slashing teenagers into pieces.
Performance was outstanding and you could sense the terror in these teenagers, I for one loved everybody performance even though I didn't understood them, but thank god for subtitles, lol.
Gore, yes people there is a good amount of gore to please the gore-hounds, but its not the cheap kind, its the shocking terror value of it.
Overall performance was great, gore was shocking, but awesome at the same time (sick I know), but what really won me over was that uncertainness, you can sit there and be like what's going to happened, but just like that you are surprised, and the ending was very sadistic, but brilliant at the same time.
