Review of Rabid (1977) by Brian S — 04 Feb 2018
Another of Cronenberg's experimental, half-assed horror movies, but it's actually not bad. For fans of campiness, Rabid is a perfect one. While sometimes the screenplay is under-developed, but it's compensated with buckets of cheap gore, blood-thirsty zombies and I also really like the musical score.
It's basically a remastered version of Shivers (1977) , but in much better and much more entertaining, with a touch of Dawn of the Dead (1978). One of David Cronenberg earliest movies and a descent flick.
