Review of Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002) by Warren B — 14 Oct 2007
Rabbit Proof Fence is the extraordinary true story of 3 Indigenous Australian girls taken from their family by the government, who escape from a camp and follow the rabbit proof fence back home. It is an amazing portrayal of a part of Australiaâ??s history that is (often) preferred to be forgotten. It depicts the most incredible story of survival in the most brutal of conditions. All Australians NEED to see this film to get some idea of what was experienced by the stolen generation. The performances by all the actors are superb. It really couldnâ??t have been done better.
It also has a brilliant soundtrack.
