Review of Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002) by Tom L — 03 Apr 2008
We had to watch this in my film class. It's not a good film. I did not like it at all. It's bigest problem was giving us characters, not giving them any background. We have no reason to care for them.
This is the main problem. If we don't care about them, whats the point of watching their "harrowing" journey? And the movie is very watered down. Never in this movie did I think, damn they had it rough.
It seems they just felt we would care and makes us hink "oh no, whitey is bad". fuck that noise boys. I could care less. The only positive was Branagh and he was just good. Nothing extraoridinary.
