Review of Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002) by Olivia M — 13 Apr 2008
This is a really poignant story. You feel for these three little wide-eyed Aboriginal girls, who were brutally taken from their homes and forced to live in a government camp for Half-Castes. Set in the 1930's, the story sucks you in, and you find yourself really rooting for these brave children as they flee the camp and travel 1500 miles by foot, braving the elements of the Australian outback, in search of their rightful home.
