Review of Rabbit Hole (2010) by Renee S — 22 Apr 2011
I thought this film was great. It is raw and emotional. Kidman and Eckhart both give extremely powerful performances -- perhaps even the performances of their respective careers. Dianne Wiest is also at her best as a mother grieving a decade's old loss herself, while simultaneously trying to be a source of support to her two daughters.
This isn't feel-good cinema, but rather a gritty, real-seeming portrait of parents experiencing the aftermath of the unthinkable.
