Kid dies, couple tries to put their life back together - sounds awesome, right? turns out to be much lighter than it reads, but simultaneously explores a fragile relationship pretty realistically and wonderfully.

nicole kidman plays cold, unlikeable woman really well...probably because I find her pretty cold and unlikeable generally. aaron eckhart is the one youre rooting for, if he needs to find his happiness without her, so be it.

a very engaging movie, I was way in it...one of the better movies of my year so far.
