Review of Rabbit Hole (2010) by Darryl P — 07 Sep 2012
Gird your emotional loins, my friends, and watch this film. It is not easy, but it is packed with bits of intertwined marital satisfactions and frustrations that any adult who has been in a relationship very long will recognize and understand.
The bits are offered in a seemingly, haphazard manner -- but it is not so. Eventually the bits begin to build into a whole, the story emerges, the characters' motivations and personalities along with it.
It takes some thought, heaven forfend! When the film is over one recognizes how those will bits have been woven together to create a very sophisticated whole that is both recognizable and honest, and if not especially pretty, much to be appreciated.
If you are a parent you will, because of the film's main topic get a bonus emotional lesson, but let's leave that, shall we.
