Review of Rabbit Hole (2010) by Jeffrey S — 06 May 2011
Rabbit Hole sure is heavy, but it never feels like there too much weight. It's not melodramatic or cringe-worthy. In fact, it feels oddly realistic, not that I've ever had and lost a child. It's realism I think mostly goes to the credit of the actors.
Nicole Kidman is at possibly the best of her career in this role. Aaron Eckhart and Dianne Wiest of course are always a pleasure to watch as well. There's just something about the happenings of Rabbit Hole that stick with you.
It's not a type of film you see often. It's almost something you rather see on HBO nowadays. (That is not an insult, by the way.) I hope to see more taken as seriously as this one in the future.
