Review of Quiz Show (1994) by Private U — 16 Sep 2008
To date, this is the only movie that gets better each time I see it. As much as I love Forrest Gump, THIS was the best film in 1994. God, what a movie. Absolutely perfect casting, with each actor actually breathing life to the characters and making the story about something.
Sure, it's about the game show scandels, but it's not easy to say that it's "just television." Bigger issues are at hand, and the film magnificently displays the downfall of American intellectualism.
Today as we live In a world of reality TV that insults the intelligence of the viewer, a film like Quiz Show demonstrates that the scandels had a much more damning effect to our culture than we give it.
Man, what a film. See it!
