Review of Quiz Show (1994) by Ryan P — 06 Dec 2008
Just a 5-star expose all the way around. Redford nails the fascinating true-life story with a tight, fantastic, script. Dialogue and characters are rich and interesting. The cast is incredible from top-to-bottom. The way Rob Morrow played Dick Goodwin is the way Jake Gyllenhaal could only dream of playing Robert Graysmith in 2007's Zodiac. Clearly obsessed with the case in a more subtle, smarter way, Morrow completely becomes the character as he struggles with a handful of difficult internal reservations, many of which relate to the 1950s era.
Very compelling film, a must-see particularly for fans of American television or those who want to explore US culture further.
