Review of Quills (2000) by Sam N — 07 May 2012
It's a powerful adaptation of Doug Wright's award winning play. I loved the characters. Although, I wouldn't have envisaged Geoffrey Rush in the lead role but rightfully and indulgently it felt as if Marquis de Sade couldn't have been portrayed better by anyone other than Geoffrey Rush himself.
Such audacity, wit, spontaneity clubbed with lust and passion to express we seldom see in the cinema these days.
