Review of Quiet Riot: Well Now You're Here, There's No Way Back (2014) by Jeff T — 21 Feb 2015
Within the first ten minutes of this documentary, you will be able to see why this film has won so many film festival awards. It draws you in and takes you behind the scenes to see the real makings of life on the road in a rock and roll band.
It's more than just the Quiet Riot story. It's a personal account of triumph and tragedy with a huge dose of inspiration. Filmmaker Regina Russell is brilliant in the manner in which she moves you through the story as if you are a member of the band experiencing their musical and personal ups and downs.
Most captivating is the emotional rollercoaster that will have you holding on for dear life. You will cheer. You will cry. But more than anything - you will appreciate the lengths that true friendship will go to keep a dream alive.
This is a story that shows the raw human emotion and spirit of camaraderie in the face of insurmountable odds. "Quiet Riot: Well, Now You're Here, There's No Way Back!" gets an easy 5 stars and will be one of the best (if not, THE best) rock and roll documentaries you will ever see!
