Review of Quest for Camelot (1998) by Zach H — 18 May 2010
The movie Quest For Camelot looked promising from the movie title to the cover of the dvd box. But when I saw the whole thing it was a waste of my time to see an idotic movie like this one. It is a total diseny rip off I mean they steal most of the music from Disney's The Lion King and if you copy that material it just fails. The movie had no comedy value, lots of pointless scenes, and the funniest line" The ogers butt!".
Characters: Let's get down to these really flawed characters. A blind man, a girl who wants to be a knight( a mans job), the obvious villian, and other characters that are totally useless. I mean the blind kid somehow can defeat all these villans but the girl can't? She wants to be a knight at all that makes no sense. The obvious villan is very dumb and he abuses his soldiers. The girl is clueless and cannot fight and her singing voice is horrible.
Music: Dont even get me started with the music. The music is just really terrible. The blind kid's voice somehow changes into Clay Aiken and starts singing about the forrest(How generic). One scene played mellow music at a chase scene, and therefore is very idotic. Finally the song about the 2 dragons makes no oddly sence beacuse they talk about how they hated each other but in the movie they like each other and therefore they dont want to separate, and the song is just terrible especially at the end and all the refernces even elvis which makes the scene pointless.
Animation: The colors and animation are way to simple, I mean the oger looks like he came out of microsoft paint or something. but I didnt care beacuse all the bad lines and jokes were keeping me busy.
Overall: This movie is really bad. The reason why it is bad is beacuse the lame jokes, lines, and logic of this movie just got me confused and I didnt even bother paying attention.
