I'm a fan of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. The movie, "Queen of the Damned" is a mixture of books "Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned". The movie is very good. It's one of my favorites. Stuart Townsend was nice choice for Lestat, if we neglect the fact that almost every actor in this movie doesn't look like a character from the books, except Lena Olin and Marguerite Moreau as Maharet and Jesse.

But Stuart menage to show us little bit of Lestat, since Lestat is so much more. Attention seeker, always steal a spotlight, made u get mad at him, but not allow u to stay angry for long time. He is dangerous, act like a little brat, but its charismatic and beautiful at the same time. Each of the vampires has its own personality, that is magnificently portrayed in books, which make hell of a job for the actors to bring that characters into life. Stuart done nicely, as Vincent Perez did for Marius and sweet Aaliyah for vicious vampire, mother of all the vampires Akasha.

Heavy sound for Queen of the Damned soundtrack was good. The singing voice of Lestat was supplied by Jonathan Davis of Korn.

The make-up was awesome, I like costume designs.

The background was nothing special, but not bad. The entire story was wrapped with mysterous veil of darkness and spotlight through the whole movie.

Here some great quotes:

Lestat: [voiceover] There comes a time for every vampire when the idea of eternity becomes momentarily unbearable. Living in the shadows, feeding in the darkness with only your own company to keep, rots into a solitary, hollow existence. Immortality seems like a good idea, until you realize you're going to spend it alone. So I went to sleep, hoping that the sounds of the passing eras would fade out, and a sort of death might happen. But as I lay there, the world didn't sound like the place I had left, but something different. Better.

It became worthwhile to rise again as new gods were born and worshipped. Night and day, they were never alone. I would become one of them.

Jesse: Boo.

Lestat: Boo back.

Lifestyle Journalist: Do you have anything you want to say to the other vampires listening out there?

Lestat: As a matter of fact, I do. Come out, come out, wherever you are.
