Review of Queen of Katwe (2016) by Jon C — 03 Feb 2017
Way more grounded in reality than I thought it would be and that's mature for a Disney movie.
But it thankfully skims past the cliches when they show up.
It's a lot of pressure to put on a 14 year old girl especially when she's in the slums of Africa.
Still when the ability of chess presents itself she has a chance to get the best education and provide the better life for her mother and her siblings.
Really terrific acting.
