Excellent portrayal of one of the bloodiest moments in French history. The direction is brilliant and the quality of acting all round is some of the best in French movie history. Bloodthirsty, captivating and engrossing.
I think it represents the era very well. Italian monarchy in the Medici family manipulating the Valois dynasty in what became pure carnage. Highly recommended for those into bloodthirsty historical drama's.
